Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Firmwares
Samsung has finally started pushing jelly bean update for the galaxy note tab which has been pending since long time. However, the current firmware update is German. If you are excited to get your note on jelly bean then you might have to wait for your county update to be released or if you are impatient then you have still flash the German (factory) rom released by Samsung. So far only the german version for jelly bean is out and we suggest you to wait for the version supporting your regional language.
Below are the download links for stock firmwares for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tab (GT-N8000). If you are flashing the German version make sure you take a nandroid backup before proceeding. Also, remember to wipe cache once you are done with the update. If you find any firmware that is not listed below, please let us know so we can update the list.

thanks for the step by step guide. I bought my Note 10.1 in Malaysia and now living in UAE, and now successfully running 4.1.1. Will update this page after few days of testing. However, the immediate concern right now is this; there is a message in my Note 10.1 saying that there is a software update available. i tried to update (using WiFi) but failed. There is a message saying "Registering device..." then the next message is "Processing failed". Can you help me around this issue?

Unless you register your device, it's not gonna let you update.
Alternately, if you don't rely on kies backup then you can go ahead and install the German rom using Odin
I'm having the same processing failed error on trying to register. Is there a workaround to this?
Same here cant register. Maybe if the update will arrive here in the phil. I will restore my device then register and go update.. Just waiting for now Relay with ODIN.

Really, samsung and most android phone makers suck for not making firmwares easily available to users. These softwares do not get around to most countires on time, and attempts to download from sammobile takes one to the bloody God-awful hotfile.com
I will cease using android devices soon. Stupid busieness strategy. Windows has almost positioned itself to become the future of smart phones and devices just as it remains the undisputed leader of PC OS. Shame on Google and its OEM android device companies around the globe. Your fall shall come soooon.

I'm trying to flash another firmware for my GIalaxy Note 10.1 N8000. I have read all tutorials etc. and prepared all according to it.
I was able to succesfully root to Clockwork Recovery so i though flashing another firmware to turn the Note into a European one instead of Chinese would be easy too. WRONG!!
Every time i want to flash with Odin it fails in the beginning of the process, see below:
Is there anyone who could comment me on what to do? I was able to recover from the failed flash attempt but i really want to flash another firmware from Europe for this Chinese version.

I tried already two different Firmwares but both seem to fail at the same point. I only installed the USB drivers not KIES so i guess it is not the reason.
Any help what is going wrong or what i should try to do?

Have updated android to 4.1.1 but now my lock screen doesn't work. It doesn't matter when I put in my roiginal PIN number under settings it won't accept it and now I have no lock screen functioning anymore. How do I get this fixed?
